I take the privilege to welcome you all to the Dept. of Computer Science & Engg. at SACET, Trichy. The department seeks to combine excellence in education and research with service to the industry.
Recent years have seen a tremendous pace for technological advances in computer-allied fields, and it is essential that the graduates should be prepared to work in software aspects of computing for different application domains in this changing environment. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is designed to provide an accredited course of study.
The Department is committed to educate students for the professional practice of Computer science by offering practical-oriented undergraduate program like value added courses that encourage lifelong learning, foster teamwork and leadership and promote creative discovery.
The institute believes in overall development of students in all fields for a full grown healthy personality to serve the nation in their individual field of choice.
As HoD, I wish to take this opportunity to assure you that I will try my best to maximize student participation in all decision making within the department and will keep the administration transparent
